Smash Bros Brawl US released delayed…

By Gosha • Jan 14th, 2008 • Category: Nintendo, Wii

Some sad news on todays update…

Due to delays in the completion of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, we’ve had to change the release date of the game to Sunday, March 9th.
I deeply apologize to the people who have looked forward to playing the game for so long and ask that you hold on just a little [...]

A New Challenger! A Surprise by Sakurai

By Asura • Jan 9th, 2008 • Category: Nintendo, Video Games, Wii

So, I think the internet slowed down last night when Sakurai officially announced the up and coming new character for Smash Bros. Brawl. Enter Captain Olimar and the Pikmin from Nintendo’s perky and slightly obsessive pack rat simulator franchises Pikmin and Pikmin 2. This was a great update to behold because for a [...]

A nice looking addition to this game. I know it makes me want to play it a little more.

Thinking Wii for Guitar Hero 3? Think again~!

By Gosha • Nov 12th, 2007 • Category: Wii

According to Joystiq.com, Wii Guitar Hero III outputs only mono sound.
Audiophilic owners of Guitar Hero III for the Wii have noticed that not only does the game not support Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound systems (despite that feature being advertised), but it doesn’t even output sound in stereo.
Apparently, Activision is looking into the problem, [...]

By Gosha • Nov 2nd, 2007 • Category: Wii

In the 11/11-11/17 ad for Toy’s “R” Us, the store lists Mario Galaxy with a free $25 gift card upon purchase. No string attached, except that it be purchased in-store, and not online.
This is one heck of a deal for anyone considering this game!

New Smash Bros Character: King Dedede

By Cokomon • Oct 25th, 2007 • Category: Nintendo, Video Games, Wii

Kirby’s rival from Dreamland appears as a new combatant in the Smash arena. King Dedede arrives in the heavyweight category, alongside Bowser and DK, wielding his trusty wooden mallet. With the inclusion of Dedede and Metaknight, the Kirby universe is well represented in this iteration of Smash Bros. Sakurai must be very [...]

New Smash Bros Character: Sonic

By Cokomon • Oct 10th, 2007 • Category: Nintendo, Video Games, Wii

Welcomed but not entirely surprising, one Mr. Sonic T. Hedgehog makes his way to the Smash Bros arena.  Finally, the 16 bit rivalry of Sonic and Mario can be decided in the setting of brutal combat, rather than Olympic sportsmanship.  Looking to be a very fast character, Sonic zooms around with reckless abandon and harasses [...]

New Wii Virtual Console Games - 10/1/07

By Cokomon • Oct 1st, 2007 • Category: Nintendo, Video Games, Wii

Been a while since I did a Virtual Console game update, but today’s is something to talk about.  Let’s get the most important one out there, previously Japan-only title Sin and Punishment has found its way onto North American Wiis.  This Nintendo 64 shooter was developed by Treasure and released late in the N64’s life.  [...]

New Smash Bros Character: Lucas

By Cokomon • Oct 1st, 2007 • Category: Nintendo, Video Games, Wii

Looks like someone new has entered the fray from the Earthbound/Mother series, Mother 3 protagonist Lucas. Sporting his striped shirt and blond cowlick, Lucas will be bringing more psychic fun to the Smash Bros arena. However, series mainstay Ness has yet to be seen…

Return to Battle: Ice Climbers

By Cokomon • Sep 14th, 2007 • Category: Nintendo, Video Games, Wii

The lovable Eskimo duo from Ice Climber and Super Smash Bros Melee, the Ice Climbers, return for an appearance in Brawl.  Sporting fuzzier parkas and detailed mallets, the Climbers will continue dispensing their own brand of icy justice.
