It seems as though BioShock 2 will be released sooner in Europe then in North America. A nice change of pace from normal release schedules. At 2k Marin’s company conference, Take Two CEO Ben Feder announced that BioShock 2 should be coming out in Europe on October 30th. The game will follow with a North American release on November 3rd.

So far the game is set to release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Available as DLC today for both Xbox Live and Games For Windows Live is the first expansion to last year’s Fallout 3.  Operation Anchorage opens up a whole new area in the game, facilatated by a VR simulator located somewhere in the wasteland.  Players relive the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from the Chinese, an event that took place during the series historic nuclear war.  In addition to a whole new area to explore, this expansion provides new equipment, perks and achievements.

Noitu Love developer, Konjak, just released a one-level fan game based on The Legend of Zelda series. The game is free and can be downloaded on the Konjak web site, which is located here…

At first glance, this game is similar to Zelda, but in reality, it’s a lot faster-paced than that, kind of like an even more arcadey Magic Sword or Wonder Boy, and features no overworld or RPG elements. Equipment is chosen at the beginning of the game, and rated by difficulty.

And the fans go wild.  After years of speculating and a weeks worth of teasing splash pages, Blizzard’s site has finally rolled over to reveal their latest game.  In what shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, they have announce the long awated Diablo III.  More information can be found at Blizzard’s Diablo III site, including new character classes, gameplay video and a trailer.

For those of us sick of waiting for the actual game, or who only planned on making creatures anyway, Maxis and EA have kindly released just that.  The Spore Creature Creator was released yesterday, and a demo is available on the main site, www.spore.com.  The demo is kind of limited, with only a select set of appendages and a small glimpse at the Sporepedia.  Still, it is nice to finally play this long in development game [insert "witty" Duke Nukem Forever joke here, like Duke Nukem Spore-ever].

Today, Valve released a new clip entitled “Meet The Sniper.” The clip is an animated profile for the Sniper class of Team Fortress 2. If you want to see plenty of laughs, be sure to check it out below!

According to Kotaku, Take-Two Interactive recently announced that BioShock 2 was officially in the works.

The game is being developed by the recently formed 2K Marin studio. The will be released on both the Xbox 360 and PC in fourth-quarter fiscal 2009. It is said that the game is rather a prequel, rather then a direct sequel.

According to Shacknews, 2K Games will be releasing fresh BioShock content next week for both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game.

The downloadable goods consist of extra plasmids, a harder difficulty that disables Vita-Chambers and more. Those particularly annoyed by BioShock’s widescreen display implementation will also find a fix for that. I myself have already played through the game, so I’m hoping the new plasmids might make the game work playing again.

In furthering the creditability of online journalism I bring to you a post on the Neo-Geo.com boards. It seems SNK has signed a deal with South Korean developer, Dragonfly, to develop an online Metal Slug game for PCs. Sadly, the link to Dragonfly’s webpage doesn’t seem to be working (as of now), leading one to wonder how reliable this source is. But in the post there is a picture of two Asian-looking men shaking hands. As if that isn’t enough proof!

Actually, I’m just messing around. It is highly likely that this really happened. Far less likely: the game will be any good. I mean it’s bean years since SNK released something worth playing, and I don’t count boob-touching games.
