Konami of Japan has announced a location test for the Arcade version of DanceDanceRevolution X2. The location test will take place at Tokyo Leisure Land in Akihabara, Tokyo. The hours are 10AM to 1AM from November 25th to December 3rd. As with most music game location tests, this means we’ll get info about new songs being included in the release in addition to just getting to see the games new interface.

It seems as though BioShock 2 will be released sooner in Europe then in North America. A nice change of pace from normal release schedules. At 2k Marin’s company conference, Take Two CEO Ben Feder announced that BioShock 2 should be coming out in Europe on October 30th. The game will follow with a North American release on November 3rd.

So far the game is set to release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

The Castlevania movie has been in the works for awhile now. It has been said that the movie was being handled by Paul W. S. Anderson. Paul has handled other movies such as Aliens VS Predator and the original Resident Evil. Because of this, there were quite a few people who weren’t too happy with Mr. Anderson’s inclusion as head of the films direction. Now, any nay-sayers have a reason to celebrate.

Rumor has it that the Castlevania film has been axed, and shows no signs of coming back. The movie has been in development hell for quite some time, and I guess the powers that be just decided to finally squash the film.

Sirius, aka the dog star, is the brightest star in the sky located in the constellation Canis Major, translation: big dog.

Location testing starts tomorrow at the Cat Eye’s Arcade in Japan May 27th and ends June 2nd.

It looks like chiptunes artist Haeyoung Kim, AKA ‘Bubblyfish’, will be developing the soudntrack for the upcoming Bit.Trip Beat sequel, Bit.Trip Core. The original game featured music from popular chiptunes artist, BitShifter. Bubblyfish will be creating the music for bother the games title screen and ending credits. Gamespot.com just put up a new trailer for the Final Fantasy IV sequel, The After years, which hits soon on Wiiware. The game will be released as 9 episodic games. The pricing for each episode has yet to be announced. You can catch the trailer below.
