It was hard to decide on the winners for this contest, as a lot of the entries were very entertaining.  In addition, it was suggested that I do a Most Creative award, which is kind of just an additional 1st place.  I was very impressed with the turnout at look forward to having this contest again next year.

Also, I don’t really know why Sonic has boobs in the 3rd panel, they were intended to be moobs caused by Cloud pushing them together. I think he might be out of shape. Hopefully this doesn’t offend any Sonic or Cloud fans out there.

And the fans go wild.  After years of speculating and a weeks worth of teasing splash pages, Blizzard’s site has finally rolled over to reveal their latest game.  In what shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, they have announce the long awated Diablo III.  More information can be found at Blizzard’s Diablo III site, including new character classes, gameplay video and a trailer.

For those of us sick of waiting for the actual game, or who only planned on making creatures anyway, Maxis and EA have kindly released just that.  The Spore Creature Creator was released yesterday, and a demo is available on the main site, www.spore.com.  The demo is kind of limited, with only a select set of appendages and a small glimpse at the Sporepedia.  Still, it is nice to finally play this long in development game [insert "witty" Duke Nukem Forever joke here, like Duke Nukem Spore-ever].

Don’t forget to stop by a participating Toys R Us today and tomorrow to pick up a free Darkrai.  Just head on over and receive one as a special gift.  More details should be available on site.

Cappcom’s newest 3D (2 1/2D?) fighter, besides Street Fighter 4, has recently gotten some coverage in the latest Famitsu. The article shows some pretty basic stuff, with characters like Ryu, Chun Li and Gotchaman. However, Servebots in the stage background hint at Megaman’s inclusion in the game, and flashy super moves indicate a crazy Marvel vs Capcom-esque brawl.

However, I am sure that the big question everyone’s mind is what characters will be in this game? Since most of us Westerners have a passing familiarity with Tatsunoko, here is a list of anime they have produced. Notable among them are Speed Racer, Karas, Robotech, Samurai Pizza Cats and co-production of cult classic Neon Genesis Evangelion. Here’s hoping for some Rei on Sakura action.

It looks as though the title of AMV Hell 4 is proving to be untrue, as it is not the last one. Turns out the that another adult version is being worked on, the long awaited AMV Hell Divided by 0. Series mainstay SSGWNBTD will be heading this one, with other series director Zarxax sitting it out. I can’t wait, and I hope that it is funny.

It looks like DreamWorks has acquired the rights to the anime Ghost in the Shell.  Due to personal interest by Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks won the bidding rights over Universal and Sony.  They plan to adapt the property into a live action, CGI film.  Ari Arad and Steven Paul are attached as producers for this film, with Ari Arad’s credits including all of the X-Men, Spiderman and Fantastic Four films.

We’ll see how this film stacks up against the upcoming Dragon Ball Z movie.  At least this will probably be released before the live action Evangelion film.
