DreamWorks to make Ghost in the Shell movie
By Cokomon • Apr 16th, 2008 • Category: Anime, Entertainment, MoviesIt looks like DreamWorks has acquired the rights to the anime Ghost in the Shell. Due to personal interest by Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks won the bidding rights over Universal and Sony. They plan to adapt the property into a live action, CGI film. Ari Arad and Steven Paul are attached as producers for this film, with Ari Arad’s credits including all of the X-Men, Spiderman and Fantastic Four films.
We’ll see how this film stacks up against the upcoming Dragon Ball Z movie. At least this will probably be released before the live action Evangelion film.

Better than Dragon Ball Z already.
And I don’t think Peter Jackson is going to make Evangelion.
It wasn’t Peter Jackson, it was Weta. And it will probably never happen, which is why this will come out long before the Eva movie.
Same diff.
