It is a sad day for gamers everywhere as one of it’s most influential designers, Gary Gygax, has passed away. He died at the age of 69 at his Wisconsin home. Gygax had an illustrious career, co-creating the original Dungeons & Dragons alongside Dave Arneson. He helped to found GenCon, the largest annual hobby exposition in the world. In addition, Gygax appeared alongside Al Gore, Stephen Hawkings and Nichelle Nichols in the Futurama episode Anthology of Interest I. Gygax is probably rolling 20s in heaven now.
