A New Challenger! A Surprise by Sakurai

So, I think the internet slowed down last night when Sakurai officially announced the up and coming new character for Smash Bros. Brawl. Enter Captain Olimar and the Pikmin from Nintendo’s perky and slightly obsessive pack rat simulator franchises Pikmin and Pikmin 2. This was a great update to behold because for a couple weeks everyone who cared continued to be disappointed by the lack of any exciting/important (call it what you will) updates. He surprised most of us with his unveiling last night. Not in a boring way, but that little way that whispers right to your gut that when Smash Bros. finally comes out here, it will be awesome.

Yeah, Smash Bros is definitely all about the old and the new of Nintendo. Too bad Melee was a bit too much about the old. It is nice to see Brawl is picking up the slack.
