Activision and Blizzard to merge, fight aliens.
By Cokomon • Dec 2nd, 2007 • Category: Video GamesGame publisher giants Activision and Blizzard have announced plans to merge and form what they call “the world’s most profitable games business.” More of an odd couple pairing than when Squaresoft and Enix joined together, this union of companies should prove to be an interesting one. Blizzard has endeared itself to gamers with releases like the Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, and Lost Vikings series, as well as Blackthorne and Rock N’ Roll Racing. Activision is most famous for publishing the Call of Duty, Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero series of games, as well as some of the Star Wars and Spider-man licensed titles. Blizzard and Activision hope that their strengths in different territories and on different platforms will combine to form a powerful business strategy.

Yikes! Now thats going to be a force to reckon.
I wonder what the name of the company will be. Hopefully not another Square-Enix mish/mash.
I think it is just Activision Blizzard. Kind of boring, not like Actiblizzion.
I’m really not liking how all game companies both in the west and east are merging/being bought out. As far as I’m concerned, it’s never good news for gamers.
