Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk

A year ago, Gonzo announced its anime adaptation of the Tower of Druaga game series. Now finally new information is surfacing. The series is due in Spring 2008.
The staff of the anime includes Gonzo veterens like director Kouichi Chigira (Gatekeepers, FMP, Last Exile, Brave Story) and series editor/writer Shouji Gatou (FMP, FMP Fumoffu, FMP 2nd Raid, Haruhi, Lucky Star). The music will be composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto.
I’m not sure how long this series intends to be, or much else about it. Fans of the classic Namco gmae should be pretty happy though.

This is an odd choice for an anime. The games have very little plot, though perhaps there some plot in the new arcade version that came out in Japan a year ago. I think this anime is just to capitalize on the popularity of the series in Japan.
