Sony Saves Face - Lowers PS3 Price
By Cokomon • Jul 6th, 2007 • Category: Playstation 3, Sony, Video GamesAccording to Cheap Ass Gamer forumer, speedy1961, a $100 price drop is in the cards for the PS3 in a couple of weeks. speedy1961 has a track record for informing gamers what will be in future Sunday ads for big electronic stores, like Best Buy and Circuit City, and he has been telling forumers on the DVD Talk and Cheap Ass Gamer forums that an upcoming ad for Circuit City has the 60GB PS3 model available for 499 US Dollars. Whether or not this proves to be true has yet to be determined, or even if it is more than a one time thing (it is just a Circuit City ad). Still, it is nice to hear that Sony may finally be doing something about one of the biggest complaints of the PS3 and cutting the price. A week before E3, no less.
