New Wii Virtual Console Games - 6/11/07

I was finally able to catch the weekly Wii update on time today. Not a bad lineup for Sega Genesis fans with this offering. First up is Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the classic sequel that sped up Sonic’s world by introducing the spindash and his fox partner Tails. Next up is the fantasy themed brawler Golden Axe II, also for the Sega Genesis. Finally, the NES gets a version of Lode Runner, the classic platforming maze game.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis - 800 Wii Points)
  • Golden Axe II (Sega Genesis - 800 Wii Points)
  • Lode Runner (NES - 500 Wii Points)

    Finally I can get my hands on Sonic 2! You see, I don’t have a Genesis, PC, Mac, Gamecube, Xbox, PS2, or Saturn. Man, I hope this release doesn’t drive down the cost of those valuable Sonic 2 carts.
