That’s right nerds, get ready to hobble out of your dimly lit room this spring to get a breath of fresh air during Easter weekend at your local anime convention! On April 6-8th, Sakura Con is coming just around the corner and you know what that means? Crazy kawaii fangirls, otaku musk while standing in never ending lines, yaoi boys, upbeat j-pop, awesome animes, expensive merchandise, gaming corners, and raves. Sakura Con has everything you know and love (and sometimes love to hate). Anime, video games, and web comic glories (such as Penny Arcade, Mega Tokyo and more…).

So far, this year’s Sakura Con is threatening to be one of the best! With more guests than you can shake a stick at (KT Gray, Vic Mignogna, Spike Spencer, Doug Smith…) special advance previews for the Con’s 10th Anniversary (Hellsing Ultimate 2, anyone?), combined with more than a few musical concerts (A-Key Kyo Band, LiN CLOVER, m.o.v.e., One World Taiko, Piano Squall…), plus, a special treat by the 404’s anime improv group. What a weekend.

And to any that are interested, Newtype USA is offering a “a more than 50% off” subscription deal exclusive to Sakura Con attendees! There will be a discount card in the free convention bags and at their Anime Network / Newtype USA exhibitor booth (#127/#129). Considering their 1 year subscription prices are over a $100, that’s a hell of a deal.

So, if any of you guys are curious as to what’s going down that weekend, just check out this pdf of the Con’s schedule on the link: Sakura Con 2007 Schedule

Asura I am Cokomon's girlfriend and fellow tenant here in their rental house. I enjoy music, video games, environmental studies, world religion studies and various other home studying like masseuse training. I guess you could call me the "hippie" of the group if you must... but I don't like the stereotype.
