Another PS3 title jumps ship!

Originally a PS3 exclusive, now the game will be simultaneously released on 3 different platforms. No word on a release date was given, but this is great news for Xbox 360 owners. A similar twist of events has happened with Virtua Fighter 5, which has been released on the Playstation 3 and soon for the Xbox 360.

…and Assassin’s Creed, and GTAIV, and ….
I guess that Dead Rising and Lost Planet must have sold well enough to show Capcom that there is interest for their games on the 360. Not to mention that Capcom has been using a new middleware engine that they created for all of their next gen games, make ports between consoles very easy.

Good God! Ya know, to be honest, I’ve never actually seen the Gamefaqs boards (always heard how bad it was) but, hot DAMN! This is the first time I’ve seen it and I gotta say, I’m glad I’m here at Blinkys…
Yeah, we don’t complain about the Gamefaqs boards for nothing. It has earned its legendary reputation.
Hmmm, I think the Xbox 360 could become thee biggest of the three in the U.S.. Since most big budget Japanese games are actually developed with a U.S. customer base in mind (since they sell more here), we could see the majority of Japanese games coming out for the 360 (as least as multi platform titles).
And about G-faqs. It has just about the largest concentration of lamers on the internet. How ever it is also the largest video game community (I think). And because of that, you can find smart people who go there because there’s no where else to go for information on particular games. Especially when a game first comes out, the Gamefaqs boards are the place to be for information.
DMC4, that’ll hurt. but FFXIII no longer exclusive… ouch:
Sony Computer Entertainment France president Georges Fornay dropped the bombshell in an interview with French-language newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace (subscription required). He said, “The development costs of games have exploded, and it has become more difficult to have exclusives, outside of our own games. But we have for launch day [in France] 30 games, including MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Virtua Fighter 5. Moreover, we are expecting 200 games [for the PS3] by the end of 2007… As far as Final Fantasy XIII goes, I can tell you that the exclusivity is in discussion.”
