Darkstalkers - A look at who is coming to UFS

So you may be wondering who the Darkstalker characters are going to be in the initial set this November. Well, I have done some sleuthing and found a journal entry on Sabertooth’s site detailing who they picked to represent the Darkstalkers in their first set.

Unfortunately for some members of the site, there is no Hsein-Ko or Anakaris in this set, but there is no doubt that they well show up quickly in the expansion (mainly because there aren’t that many Darkstalkers characters to choose from). Regardless, this looks like a good first set and it will be nice to see it hit next November.

    I have a feeling I’ll break my self imposed UFS expansion spending limit when this set comes out. Darkstalkers isn’t my favorite game, but the characters are so cool I’ll want all their cards!

    I wonder what other expansion will release with it? Let’s hope it isn’t SNK or poor Mad Mage will go broke.

    I think it may be the next SNK alongside it. I was looking at Sabertooth’s forums and saw that set 5 will be yet another SF/SC pairing. The sets were entitled “Extreme Rivals” and “Blades of Fury”. After that, I can see them releasing the overdue SNK followup alongside Darkstalkers, since they probably don’t want to do two Capcom properties at once and Soul Calibur needs another break. Of course, this Darkstalkers set looks big, they could just release one set and call it a day.

    A super huge Darkstalkers set would rule. Kinda like what they did with SNK. Since they are doing like 12 characters, it could handle a huge release. And another battle box of some sorts would be fun. Kyo vs Iori? A second PA battle box?
