Everybody Votes Channel available today

By Cokomon • Feb 14th, 2007 • Category: Nintendo, Video Games, Wii

In a very sneaky move, Nintendo has released a new Wii Channel today entitled Everybody Votes.  Upon performing a system update and free download from the Shop Channel, users will be greeted by this interesting new channel.  After selecting a region and registering up to six Miis, a variety of poll questions will be available to players.  Upon selecting a question, users can take their Mii and place it on the answer they prefer, as well as predict the eventual winner.  Statistics are kept on how successful your predictions are as well as how much your opinion aligns with popular consensus.  Finally, players can submit their own poll questions to potentially be used some day, although there is a limit of one question per day (probably not to kill Nintendo’s servers and poll screeners).  A very interesting treat, leaving us curious as to what other Channels Nintendo has up their sleeve.

  1. I just voted. It was alright. Nice to see another channel anyhow.

  2. But Mad Mage!

Did you vote on the most important poll of all? The astounding world wide poll that encompasses the good and bad of all humanity? One of the most sublime curiosities of the entire population? The overwhelming question?… Are you a DOG person… or a CAT person.

Take your time to think about it, I know it’s a big thing to digest.

  3. yeah, I have a feeling most the polls will be really tame, boring questions. Nintendo is the epitome of non-controversial.

Incidentally, I put down dog person for what I think more people will pick.

  4. Me too, as did Asura. I voted for Cats, but I think there will be more dog people.

Actually, I thought it would have been funnier if the worldwide question was, “What tastes better? Dogs or Cats?”

  5. Only in some Asian countries.

  6. No, that would have been funnier in any country.
